Bambaw uses 100% recyclable cardboard or compostable packaging for all their products. Packaging is 100% plastic free and they never use plastic films on cardboard.

Bambaws materials and ingredients consist of mostly stainless steel (a forever recyclable), bamboo, cotton, and natural plant derived ingredients (for personal care products) sourced from low impact crops.

Business Model

The brand offers an evergreen collection with essentially zero-product churn. There is clear focus on quality vs quantity and mindful consumption is encouraged.

Bambaw mostly produces home goods. It is unclear for some items like their reusable razor, what paints or coloring techniques are used for color options and their toxicity. For their few personal care formulations, the ingredients are almost exclusively plant-based and non-toxic. They do include parfum (fragrance), the composition of which is partially unclear.

There is limited information regarding fair labor practices or community engagement beyond association with their manufacturer in Indonesia, whom they claim to have supported financially and helped to acquire better tools and equipment. Beyond this, labor conditions and practices remain vague. Animal products are not used by the brand.
