Food Huggers Return & Exchange Policy
At Shifting Gaia, we partner with Food Huggers to bring you reusable silicone food savers, avocado huggers, can huggers, hugger bags, fabric bags, and flexible bowl lids designed for a zero-waste kitchen. As a marketplace retailer, our return process follows Food Huggers guidelines.
Return Window
Food Huggers accepts returns within 30 days of receipt. Products must be unopened and in original packaging. Food Huggers cannot accept returns of opened or used products unless the item is defective. If you received the wrong color or wrong product, do not open the packaging before initiating a return. Note that Original Food Huggers and Avocado Huggers carry a Lifetime Guarantee, meaning if you use these products and are not satisfied with the results even beyond the 30-day window, Food Huggers will refund your product. All other products carry a two-year warranty.
Exchanges
No standard exchange policy was found in the Food Huggers source materials. For questions about exchanges on orders placed through shiftinggaia.com, please contact Shifting Gaia at hello@shiftinggaia.com.
Non-Returnable Items
- Opened Food Huggers products, unless defective
- Used Food Huggers products, unless defective
- Products not purchased through the original retailer where the order was placed
Return Shipping
The customer is responsible for paying return shipping costs and must use a carrier that provides a tracking number. Food Huggers recommends using a carrier that offers signature confirmation, as Food Huggers cannot accept responsibility for packages lost in transit. Return shipping costs will only be refunded when a product arrives damaged or defective. You must contact Shifting Gaia at hello@shiftinggaia.com before sending any items back, as returns require prior authorization and confirmation.
Refunds
Once a return is received and verified, please allow one to two weeks for your refund to be processed and for it to appear on your credit card statement. Because Food Huggers only processes returns for orders placed directly on foodhuggers.com, all returns for orders placed through shiftinggaia.com must be handled through Shifting Gaia and cannot be submitted directly to Food Huggers. For damaged or defective items, a photo and description of the problem are required to process a claim. Please contact us at hello@shiftinggaia.com to initiate any return or refund request.
