Packaging

Antati’s products are mostly packaged in carton-like outside packaging and glass bottles with plastic droppers or caps, and some plastic tubes. While glass and paper are recyclable, there is no refill or reuse program. Antati does have an FSC certification, which refers to responsibly sourced packaging materials.

Ingredient Sustainability

The brand maintains a Zero Tolerance list that precludes the use of harmful chemicals like parabens, sulfates, and many other highly toxic ingredients. They source many plant-derived ingredients from low-impact crops. However, Antati also uses a number of synthetic ingredients that are often petro-derived, and the brand does not specify the exclusion of petrochemicals. Some plant-based ingredients, like the use of almond oil (highly water-intensive), also raises concerns. Sustainable sourcing for these ingredients is not specified.

Energy Use and Footprint

There is no publicly available data regarding Antati’s energy practices. However when it comes to their sourcing, the Antati team has confirmed their packaging and materials are locally sourced which reduces their carbon footprint and emission.

Waste Management

There is very little information available regarding the brand’s waste management practices. They do claim most products are crafted in-house.

Business Model

Antati is committed to clean beauty. It’s a local Lebanese brand that models its branding around intentionality. However, there's no clear system for reducing waste via concentrates, bars, or refillable models, etc.

details:

The brand’s philosophy is to formulate without known harmful or questionable chemicals – in fact, Antati abides by an internal blacklist of over 4,000 substances, stricter than even EU regulations. All products are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, PEGs, formaldehyde releasers, triclosan, and other high-toxicity ingredients.

They avoid common irritants like synthetic fragrance (the line is completely fragrance-free) and even restrict ingredients like phenoxyethanol, retinoids, and chemical sunscreens suspected of health risks. Instead, Antati uses gentler alternatives: e.g. plant-based preservatives (radish root ferment filtrate, etc.) and safer actives such as niacinamide, vitamin C derivatives, hyaluronic acid, and botanical extracts that have strong safety profiles.

Fair Labor

All manufacturing is done locally in Lebanon, under the founder’s oversight, and it has been confirmed by the brand that that employment is 100% local.

 Animal Welfare

All Antati products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free, as confirmed by third-party certification. The brand is listed by PETA as cruelty-free & vegan, meaning it does not test on animals at any stage and uses no animal-derived ingredients (no carmine, lanolin, collagen, etc.). Moreover, being Halal-certified reinforces the absence of certain animal ingredients (e.g. no porcine ingredients) and ethical production. Antati’s commitment goes beyond compliance – it has made vegan, cruelty-free formulation a core part of its identity from inception, in a region where these practices are still emerging.

Community Engagement

The company does not advertise any charitable partnerships, environmental give-back programs, or local community projects (aside from providing educational content about skincare science, which, while valuable, is part of its marketing rather than a community service program).
