I think my body needed time to adjust

I think my body needs more time to adjust to this lotion. I live in Colorado where it's super dry plus I'm autoimmune and take medications that also dry me out. I have eczema mostly located in one area at least, so it helps that it's contained.

This lotion is taking my body a little while to adjust to it moving from super moisturizing lotions/creams. I was using CeraVe and I'm happy to move to a more sustainable and non toxic lotion, but I think my body needed some time to adjust. When I first started using this lotion all over my body after my showers, it soaks up fast and well, but then I would feel dry within 5-10 minutes after I put the lotion on. And while I felt dry, I could deal with it as long as my skin wasn't reacting to the feeling of dryness.

I've been using this for about 3 weeks now and it's slowly gotten better that my body isn't feeling as dry as it was in the beginning. I'm hoping this switch is similar to switching from deoderant that has aluminum in it to ones that don't - you gotta let your body adjust and detox a bit. I still can't just use this lotion on the part of my body that has eczema, but everywhere else on my body I am now good to use this lotion without feeling as dry as I first did.

I will try to report back after I've used this more than a handful of times to really see if my body is liking it as much as I want it to. I love everything Shifting Gaia as well as Plaine Products are doing for our evnvironment and I want my money to go towards something that is sustainable as well as non-toxic. So I'm really hoping I can keep using this in place of other lotions.

Reorder! Love this lotion, definitely a must have in my home. It’s lightweight but hydrating

Sooo Smooth

So smooth & not oily! I got a bottle of this to try this winter because the dry winter air in the Midwest is no joke. We lathered ourselves with this lotion daily and it helped more than anything else - lasted all day, too. Plus, it goes on so smooth and is not oily. Soaks right in and doesn't leave oily handprints on everything you touch.

Hydrating and lightweight

I received the unscented option as a gift, and I really enjoy the product. Sometimes unscented products have an odd smell to them, but this has a mild and pleasant scent.
