Fontana Candle Co Return & Exchange Policy
At Shifting Gaia, we partner with Fontana Candle Co to bring you hand-crafted, non-toxic candles and wax melts made from natural ingredients. As a marketplace retailer, our return process follows Fontana Candle Co guidelines.
Return Window
Fontana Candle Co allows 30 days from the date of purchase to request a refund or exchange. Unburned products are eligible for a full refund. Products that have been partially burned (less than 25% burned, or no more than one wax melt puck melted) are eligible for a refund or exchange subject to a 20% restocking fee. Products burned more than 25%, or wax melts with more than one puck melted, are not accepted for return or exchange. All returned items must be packaged thoroughly and with care, including adequate padding, bubble wrap, or other protective packing material to protect glass during transit. Returns that arrive damaged due to insufficient or negligent packaging are subject to a 20% restocking fee deducted from the refund at Fontana Candle Co's discretion. The original shipping fee is not covered in the return.
Exchanges
Fontana Candle Co offers store credit exchanges within the 30-day return window. When you exchange a product for store credit, you receive a bonus of 25% more credit than the original amount paid. Partially burned products (less than 25% burned, or no more than one wax melt puck melted) are eligible for exchange subject to a 20% restocking fee. Products burned more than 25%, or wax melts with more than one puck melted, are not accepted for exchange. For purchases made on shiftinggaia.com, please contact us at hello@shiftinggaia.com to initiate an exchange rather than contacting Fontana Candle Co directly.

Return Shipping
If you selected the Checkout+ option at the time of purchase, return shipping is provided at no cost. If you did not select Checkout+, you are responsible for your return shipping costs. The original shipping fee is not refunded. Refund timing after the return is received is not specified by Fontana Candle Co. For purchases made on shiftinggaia.com, please contact hello@shiftinggaia.com for assistance initiating your return rather than contacting Fontana Candle Co directly.
Refunds
For unburned products returned within 30 days, Fontana Candle Co issues a full refund. For partially burned products (less than 25% burned, or no more than one wax melt puck melted), a 20% restocking fee is deducted from the refund. The original shipping fee is not included in the refund. Refund processing timing is not specified by Fontana Candle Co. Fontana Candle Co also offers a One Year Candle Burn Guarantee covering defects in wax and wick, including wax sinkholes, excessive tunneling, and wicks that will not stay lit; defective candles are replaced at Fontana Candle Co's discretion. Because your purchase was made on shiftinggaia.com, all refund and return requests must be handled through Shifting Gaia and not directly with Fontana Candle Co.
