At Shifting Gaia™, we prioritize conscious consumption and mindful exchanges as part of our commitment to reducing waste. We encourage you to take extra care when making your purchases by thoroughly reviewing product descriptions, customer feedback, and brand policies before placing your order.


We understand that issues can sometimes arise. If your product arrives damaged, defective, or you experience another issue with your order, we’re here to help. Simply complete our Return or Refund Form to share the details of your concern, and our team will review your request on a case-by-case basis.

1. Fill Out the Exchange Request Form. Start by completing our Return or Refund Form to provide the necessary details. We will respond within 3 business days with further instructions.
 

2. Follow Brand-Specific Exchange Policies. As we work with several eco-conscious brands, each may have its own return and exchange policy. After we receive your request, we’ll direct you through the next steps based on the brand that fulfilled your order. You can find each brand’s exchange policy below.

Issue With Your Order

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or you receive the wrong item, please contact us at hello@shiftinggaia.com within 8 days of delivery.

Kindly include your order number and clear photos of the issue so we can review it promptly. Once confirmed, we will arrange a replacement or issue a refund as appropriate.

Try Before You Commit

Activist Skincare is an independent brand that formulates artisanal products in small batches with a strong focus on sustainability and waste reduction.

To ensure the products are the right fit for your skin, we highly recommend trying a Trial & Travel Kit or individual samples before purchasing full-size items. Using samples for a few weeks will help you determine compatibility before committing to a larger size.

Return Policy

Due to the brand’s small-batch production process and significant fulfillment costs, returns are limited.

Only unopened, unused, full-size products in their original condition are eligible for return.

To qualify:

  • You must contact hello@shiftinggaia.com within 8 days of delivery.
  • Items must be returned unopened and unused.
  • Refunds will be issued minus original shipping costs (both outbound and return shipping fees) and a 15% restocking fee.
  • A return shipping label will be provided upon approval.

Please note:

  • Opened or used products are not eligible for return.
  • Returns for general dissatisfaction, allergic reactions, or products not suiting your skin cannot be accepted.
  • We encourage customers to try samples first to avoid unnecessary waste.

Samples & Trial Kits

Samples and Trial Kits are not eligible for return or refund unless they arrive damaged or are missing. If this occurs, please contact hello@shiftinggaia.com within 8 days of delivery and we will assist you.

Refill Subscription Orders

Refill Subscription orders cannot be cancelled once processed. You will receive email and text notifications prior to processing, allowing time to modify, skip, reschedule, or cancel your upcoming order.

All unworn, unaltered, and unwashed items may be returned within 28 days of the original purchase date.

Items must be returned in their original condition, with original labels and tags attached, in the original packaging, and accompanied by a copy of your packing slip.

Returned items must show no visible signs of wear or use. Jewelry, scarves, hair accessories, beauty products, and edible items are not eligible for return and are considered final sale.

Items that are discounted from their original retail price or marked as final sale at the time of purchase are not eligible for return.

Happiness Guarantee

We love our products and think you will too! But if you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase, return or exchange within 28 days, no questions asked.

Returns

We’re happy to accept returns for unused items in their original packaging within 28 days of the arrival date. The original shipping fee will be deducted from the refund. The customer is responsible for return shipping. Returns will be processed within 5 business days of receipt. If 28 days have gone by since the arrival date, unfortunately we cannot offer a refund or exchange. We recommend getting a tracking number and insurance for return items. Ananday is not responsible for the loss of items being returned. How to return: To initiate a return, email hello@shiftinggaia.com with your order number, item details, and reason for return.

Refunds

Once your return is received, we will email you to confirm it has been received. Refunds are processed within 5 business days. The credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.

Lost or Stolen Packages

We offer shipping protection at checkout. If your order has shipping protection and is lost or damaged, please email hello@shiftinggaia.com with your order number to start a claim. By opting out of shipping protection, Ananday is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen packages during transit. For unprotected orders, we will follow the carrier’s claims policy to either locate your parcel or deem it lost. This process may take 6–8 weeks and is at the discretion of the carrier. If your unprotected order has GPS location or photographic evidence that it has been delivered to your property, is with a neighbor, or at a secure location, Ananday is not responsible for a refund or replacement.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund: Check your bank account again. Contact your credit card company, as it may take time before your refund is officially posted. Contact your bank, as there may be processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and still haven’t received your refund, please contact us at hello@shiftinggaia.com.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. To request an exchange for the same item, email hello@shiftinggaia.com.

If you don’t love what you ordered, that’s okay. Annmarie Skin Care stands behind every product with a satisfaction-first approach, and we are happy to help you find the right fit.

If a product is not working for you or you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may request a return or exchange, and we will work with you to make it right. Refunds are available when applicable.

Please make sure to inspect all bottles and products as soon as they arrive, even if you ordered them as back stock.

Return & Exchange Window

  • Returns and exchanges must be requested within 28 days of your delivery date.
  • Items must be returned in the original packaging and condition.
  • Please include your packing slip inside the return package.
  • Items should be returned in the original shipping box or a similar protective box with adequate packing material to prevent damage during transit.
  • Only returns sent using a return label provided through Shifting Gaia will be processed. Returns sent to an incorrect address will not be accepted.

Once your return or exchange arrives, please allow up to 5 business days for processing. You will receive a confirmation email once it has been completed.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

At Shifting Gaia, we partner with Apoterra to bring you eco-conscious skincare crafted with care. Since Apoterra’s policies guide how we process exchanges, please review the details below.

Exchanges for Shipping Issues

If your Apoterra order arrives damaged, defective, or there is another issue with the shipment, contact us at hello@shiftinggaia.com with your order number and photos of the issue. We will review your request and guide you through the next steps.

Wrong Address or Lost Package

If your package is lost in transit, please email hello@shiftinggaia.com and we’ll assist in resolving the issue with Apoterra.

If an incorrect address was provided during checkout and the package becomes lost or undeliverable, you will be responsible for covering the shipping cost to have the order resent.

International Orders

For international shipments, please note that Apoterra uses USPS First Class International, which does not include full tracking outside the USA and does not offer insurance. Lost international packages cannot be reimbursed.

Customers outside of Canada are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees.

Due to the nature of our product we are unable to offer returns or refunds but we are happy to replace any item that is defective or damaged. Please email us at hello@shiftinggaia.com

Return window
Our policy lasts 13 days from the date of purchase. After 13 days, we cannot offer a refund or exchange. If something is wrong with your item, please email hello@shiftinggaia.com and we will work with BrunnaCo to find the best solution.

Return eligibility

  • Item must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging.
  • Pack the item carefully. Items that arrive broken, damaged, squeezed, or used are not eligible for refund.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping and any re-shipping fees.

Partial refunds
Partial refunds may be granted, if applicable, for:

Refund process
Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to confirm approval or rejection. If approved, a refund will be issued to your original payment method. Timing depends on your bank or card issuer. If you do not see the refund after their posted timelines, contact hello@shiftinggaia.com.

Exchanges

  • We replace items only if they are defective or damaged. Email hello@shiftinggaia.com within 13 days of purchase to start an exchange for the same item.
  • If you would like to exchange for a different item, you are responsible for return and re-shipping fees. Any price difference will be invoiced, plus a $3 handling fee.

Before you buy
Please review each item’s description and product photos carefully before purchasing.

Order processing time
Each bag is handmade. Please allow 3–4 business days for BrunnaCo to make your item. If you need it by a certain date, tell us and we will request expedited processing when possible.

Damaged or compromised items
If your items arrive damaged or otherwise compromised, we will replace your order. You may be asked to return the damaged product or provide clear photos to help us process the claim. Contact hello@shiftinggaia.com to get started.

Not happy with your order
If you are unhappy for any other reason, email hello@shiftinggaia.com and we will work with Captain Blankenship to make it right and answer any questions.

Order edits and cancellations
We will try to edit or cancel an order on request, but changes are not guaranteed once processing has begun with Captain Blankenship’s fulfillment partner.

Note: If a physical return is required during a verified claim, the return address will be Captain Blankenship’s, not Shifting Gaia’s.

At Shifting Gaia, we partner with Cariuma to offer consciously crafted footwear. As a marketplace retailer, our exchange process follows Cariuma’s guidelines.

Return Window

Cariuma accepts returns within 58 days of receiving your order. Sneakers must be unused, return-ready, and in their original packaging. If you’re trying them on, please keep them indoors and on a clean surface to maintain eligibility.

How to Request an Exchange

If you need to exchange an item due to fit or another issue, email us at hello@shiftinggaia.com with your order details. We’ll guide you through the next steps according to Cariuma’s process.

Return Processing Time

Once your return is received by Cariuma, processing may take up to three weeks. We will notify you once the brand approves the return and confirms the next steps.

Please note that refunds issued by the brand exclude original shipping fees, duties, and taxes.

Split Orders

If your order was shipped in multiple packages, we will help coordinate the return accordingly. Email hello@shiftinggaia.com so we can assist with the correct instructions.

Non-Returnable Items

Cariuma does not accept returns or exchanges for the following:

  • Accessories (including Jason Markk shoe care, shoelaces, insoles, and similar items)

These remain final sale.

We want you to feel confident shopping with us, and we’re here to help ensure you find products you love. Below is the adapted Returns and Exchanges Policy for Clover by Clove products purchased through shiftinggaia.com.

Shade Exchanges: Color Match Guarantee

If you need a different shade, our team will support a one-time exchange within the same product line. Exchanges for a completely different product are not available through Shifting Gaia.

Returns: Money Back Guarantee

You may return unused or gently used items within 28 days of purchase for a refund to your original payment method. A $5 handling fee applies to each return. Refunds typically take up to 10 business days to process once completed.

Contact hello@shiftinggaia.com. Once your return is approved, you’ll receive instructions on how to send back your item.

Please note:

  • Returns received without prior communication may not be honored.
  • Some promotional items, gifts with purchase, limited edition items, bundles, and samples may not qualify for standard returns or exchanges.
  • For bundles, individual items may be returned, but the refund will reflect the discounted bundle price, minus the $5 handling fee.
  • Shipping fees, shipping insurance, international taxes and duties, and carbon offset contributions are not refundable.
  • We reserve the right to modify or make exceptions to these policies if necessary.

Damaged Shipments

If your item arrives damaged, we may request photos before sending a replacement.
If you purchased shipping insurance through Route at checkout, you can file a claim directly with them.

Lost or Missing Shipments

Packages may be marked as delivered before they arrive or may be mis-delivered. We recommend waiting a couple of days and checking with neighbors.

Once an order has shipped, delivery issues must be handled with the carrier directly.
If Route shipping insurance was purchased, claims can be filed with them for lost, damaged, or broken items.

We reserve the right to adjust our policies at any time if they are being misused.

We have a 5-day return policy, which means you have 1–5 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.

The buyer is responsible for all associated return shipping costs. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including custom products such as special orders or personalized items.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Shipping Returns

For items over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Important Notes

60-Night Sleep Trial:

Your initial purchase of any regularly priced bedding is covered by our 60-Night Sleep Trial, giving you the opportunity for complimentary returns or exchanges. We encourage you to use and launder your bedding as you normally would for a full 60 nights. Should you find yourself less than completely satisfied, you may return the item for a full refund. Standard Returns and Exchanges:

Items not included within the 60-Night Sleep Trial are eligible for exchange or return for store credit or refund, provided they are unused and unwashed, within 30 days of the delivery date. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable, and returns for refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount. Returns initiated between 30 and 60 days from the delivery date will be processed for store credit only.

Final Sale Items:

The cost of return shipping is initially covered by you. However, we balance the scales by refunding these costs along with your purchase amount once your return is processed.

We are happy to accept returns within 28 days of your order date. All garments must be returned in their original packaging with original tags and sanitary liners intact. Merchandise that appears to be worn and/or washed, has perfume or other odors present, or is not in its original/sellable condition may result in a delayed refund/exchange, or may not qualify for a refund or exchange. In these cases, the item(s) will be returned to you. For sanitary reasons, face masks are not eligible for returns.

How to Make a Return

To initiate a return, email hello@shiftinggaia.com with your order number, item details, and reason for return.

Exchanges

To exchange an item for a different size, color, or style, return your item in its original packaging and indicate “store credit” in your return request email. Once received, we’ll issue you a gift card in the amount of your item, which you can use anywhere on shiftinggaia.com. Shifting Gaia gift cards never expire.

Refunds

We process all returns within 7–10 business days of receiving the item. Once your refund has been initiated, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that your original form of payment has been credited. Refunds can only be issued to the payment method used for the original purchase. It can take up to 10 business days for funds to appear back on your credit card.

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds, returns, or exchanges. All sales are final. In the unlikely event that a product arrives damaged, you will need to contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order and let us know what the issue is. Send us an email to hello@shiftinggaia.com and include pictures of the damage and a screenshot of your order confirmation email. Once we receive your message, we will respond and make it right with a replacement of your items. If a replacement item (Limited Items, Collections, etc.) is not available, we will refund the full purchase price. Making sure you love our products and have a great customer experience is our priority! Please send us your feedback and let us know how we can improve.

Returns & Exchanges

Freedom Deodorant accepts returns within 28 days from the date you received your item. To qualify, products must be unused, in their original condition, and returned with the original packaging.

Damaged or Defective Products

Freedom offers replacements for defective items, excluding their “Oops!” products. You have 12 days from the date of delivery to report any defects.

Please send your photos and details to hello@shiftinggaia.com so we can coordinate the replacement process.

Non-Refundable Items

Freedom Deodorant does not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • “Oops!” products
  • 1/2 gallon hand sanitizers

International Orders

International delivery timelines can take up to a month depending on customs and carrier service. International shipping fees are non-refundable unless the selected service includes insurance.

Once a package is processed by the carrier, transit times are outside of Freedom’s control.

Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for covering the cost of return shipping.

Return Window

Friendsheep accepts returns within 28 days of receiving your order.
For multi-packs, all items included in the pack must be returned together to remain eligible.

Items must be unused, in original condition, and returned with proof of purchase.

If you purchased a Friendsheep product through any other retailer, their return policy applies.

How to Request an Exchange

For damaged, defective, or incorrect items, email us at hello@shiftinggaia.com with your order number and photos, and we will guide you through the next steps in accordance with Friendsheep’s return guidelines.

Refund Processing

Once Friendsheep receives and inspects your return, we will notify you regarding approval or rejection.
If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 7 business days.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for covering return shipping costs. These costs are non-refundable.

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or you receive the wrong item, please contact us at hello@shiftinggaia.com within 8 days of delivery. Include your order number and clear photos of the issue so we can review it promptly. Once confirmed, we will arrange a replacement or issue a refund as appropriate.

For other issues, please note that most essential oils and aromatherapy products that have been opened or used are not eligible for return. Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to an error on our part.

If you’re not satisfied with your Green Goo purchase, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the product price. Shipping costs are not refunded unless the item was damaged or sent incorrectly.

Please postmark returned items within 30 days of your packing slip and use a trackable shipping method. Once received, refunds may take up to 45 days to process.

Return Restrictions – Dangerous Goods

Some of our cosmetics classified as dangerous goods can’t be delivered to all locations due to transportation restrictions. E.g., nail polish, dry shampoo, and brush cleaner.

How to Return Dangerous Goods:

If you wish to return items containing flammable substances, you need to be aware that there are special transportation requirements. Please follow these steps:

  1. The product must be packed in a box with the LQ Dangerous goods label attached. If you use the original box, then the label is already attached. If you use a different box or the label is damaged, you need to print a new one.
  2. Fill the box with paper or filler so that the product sits securely.
  3. Follow the normal return procedure on your delivery note.

Please note, if you are making a return WITHOUT any dangerous goods, you must remove the LQ Dangerous goods label from the box.

Unopened Items

Unopened, unused products in their original sealed packaging may be returned within 88 days of purchase for a refund. Once the product is received and inspected, the cost of the item will be refunded to your original payment method.

Opened Items

If your product has been opened but you need a different size or absorbency, please contact us at hello@shiftinggaia.com. We’ll coordinate with Saalt to help resolve the issue on a case-by-case basis.

First-Time Underwear Purchases

If you are trying Saalt period underwear for the first time, we recommend starting with one pair before opening additional pairs. Unopened pairs are eligible for a refund.

Questions or Support

Learning to use reusable products can take time, and Saalt provides helpful resources such as tutorials and personalized guidance. If you purchased your Saalt product through Shifting Gaia and need support with a return or exchange, please reach out to hello@shiftinggaia.com.

Shipping Notes

Return shipping may be the responsibility of the customer. Original shipping fees, import duties, and taxes are non-refundable. Opened bras may be returned only if unworn, unwashed, and with original tags attached.

If you notice any defects with your Seek & Swoon item, please contact us right away at hello@shiftinggaia.com so we can help resolve the issue with the brand.

Not completely in love with your purchase? Eligible Seek & Swoon items purchased through shiftinggaia.com may be returned or exchanged within 13 days of receiving your order. Items must be unused and in their original carton packaging. Returns of used or tested items cannot be accepted.

You will be refunded the item amount once the brand receives and approves the return. Original shipping charges are not refundable, as they are paid directly to the carrier. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective.

We can only process returns for Seek & Swoon products purchased through shiftinggaia.com. If your item was purchased from another retailer, please reach out to that retailer directly.

If you’re not completely satisfied with your Shower Candy purchase, you may request a return or exchange within30 daysof delivery for a refund or replacement, provided the items are unused and in original condition. We offer a 30-day return policy, on items that don't work for you, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. We do not offer refunds if you change your mind or purchase "accidentally", so please select carefully. You have 14 days to try your item, and we have added 5 days of shipping to reach you, and 7 days for you to return the items, before charges take place, 26 days in total. Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

We offer free exchanges on all Ashers Period Undies! Simply email us at hello@shifitinggaia.com, state your order number and the new size/style/color that you would like in exchange. We will email you a return label, and as soon as your return is received, unworn and with tags, we will ship you your new pair!

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Return Window

Terra Thread accepts returns of unused products in new condition (clean, with all hang tags attached) within 12 days from the date you received your order.
Returns postmarked after 12 days are not eligible.

Please ensure your order number is included in the return package to avoid delays.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

Requests for refunds must be received within 28 days of the original shipment date. We do not provide a refund for returned products that are damaged due to misuse, lack of care, mishandling, accident, abuse, or other abnormal use. Bulk orders or orders over $80 may be ineligible for return, but will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
